Douglas J. Phelps, PA-C Mr. Phelps is a physician assistant with Durango Orthopedic Associates and SpineColorado. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is trained in assisting with orthopedic surgery and emergency medicine. Mr. Phelps received his Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, in Omaha, Nebraska, a Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Union College, in Lincoln, Nebraska and a Paramedic Certificate from Creighton University, in Omaha, Nebraska. Mr. Phelps is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Nebraska Academy of Physician Assistants. Doug and his wife Jolene have three children, Brandon, Zachary and Hannah. He enjoys basketball, camping and skiing.
